Game #23: Florida meltdown – Panthers 4, Devils 3 (OT)

Posted on November 26, 2018 by hasan4978

Now these losses are starting to run together, figuratively and literally.  Back-to-back days in the sunshine state, back-to-back brutal losses, which granted even in our good years is par for the course with this team.  This latest loss was particularly … Continue reading →

Game #19 – Hurricanes 2, Devils 1

Posted on November 18, 2018 by hasan4978

After yesterday’s hideous loss, part of me didn’t even want to bother with the aggravation I could sense was coming in Carolina today.  We never seem to do well in that building (and also seem to play a disproportionate share … Continue reading →

Game #18 – Red Wings 3, Devils 2 (OT)

Posted on November 17, 2018 by hasan4978

Another weekend, another matinee Devils game.  So far the team’s played five times in seven weeks on either a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon.  My feelings on matinees as a season ticket holder are mixed.  So long as it’s 1 … Continue reading →

Game #16 – Devils 4, Penguins 2

Posted on November 14, 2018 by hasan4978

After a disasterous 1-6 road trip (with a whopping 34 goals allowed, I might add!) dropped the Devils under .500, I can’t say I was feeling too confident in any type of bounceback while making my trek to the Rock … Continue reading →

Game #11 – Islanders 3, Devils 0

Posted on November 4, 2018 by hasan4978

What’s to say right now?  If this team isn’t at rock bottom now with three straight losses culminating in yesterday’s whitewash at Barclays with Lou Lamoriello being satisfied in his new post as GM of the first-place Islanders, I shudder … Continue reading →

Game #7 – Predators 4, Devils 3 (OT)

Posted on October 25, 2018 by hasan4978

After yet another extended delay in the schedule, the Devils returned to the ice for just their seventh game in the last twenty-four days.  Early on it seemed as if the Devils were fine with the infrequent games but after … Continue reading →

Game #6 – Flyers 5, Devils 2

Posted on October 20, 2018 by hasan4978

For this afternoon’s game I decided to try something different – being that the weather was in the high 50’s and might be the nicest day left that we get until 2019, I wanted to be outside, but a 1 … Continue reading →

Game #3 – Devils 3, Sharks 2

Posted on October 14, 2018 by hasan4978

A crisp fall afternoon, Sunday at 1 PM is always a great day for…Devils hockey?!  Don’t get me wrong, under normal circumstances I’d have been there this afternoon – especially after missing Thursday’s game and with the team off to … Continue reading →

Game 2 – Devils 6, Capitals 0

Posted on October 12, 2018 by hasan4978

In what was certainly a first in franchise history, the Devils had their second home opener on two different continents last night – of course this one was at their more familiar home rink in Newark, NJ.  This was also … Continue reading →

Opening Day – Devils 5, Oilers 2

Posted on October 6, 2018 by hasan4978

After five and a half months with no meaningful Devils games, hockey has officially returned today with the Devils’ overseas showdown against the Oilers kicking off at least another 82-game campaign through the beginning of April (and hopefully more after … Continue reading →
