No treat for Devils fans against Columbus

Posted on November 1, 2021 by hasan4978

In our post-relevant era, few teams have given us more fits than the Columbus Blue Jackets, who we’ve gone just 5-14-1 against since the end of the 2014-15 season. Of course we haven’t played the Blue Jackets in nearly twenty … Continue reading →

Bernier’s return and Bratt’s penalty shot propel Devils to win in Pittsburgh

Posted on October 31, 2021 by hasan4978

I admit I could have watched last night’s game live but didn’t. After the awful last three games I needed a ‘show me’ effort since the Devils spent the better part of last week sulking around without Jack Hughes and … Continue reading →

End of Devils’ homestand flames out

Posted on October 26, 2021 by hasan4978

The last thing I wanted to do after getting back from this game – mercifully early because of the utter trash effort this team put on the ice for the first two periods – is write about this game tonight. … Continue reading →

Devils’ injury situation continues to mount as reality hits against Caps

Posted on October 22, 2021 by hasan4978

Let’s just start with the good news, I’m glad I couldn’t even watch last night’s game, let alone attend what was always going to be a predictable beatdown by the Caps, who’ve owned us the last several years. Sure, we … Continue reading →

Devils grind their way to 2-0 despite Hughes’ injury

Posted on October 20, 2021 by hasan4978

Normally a second home game of the season can be a sleepy affair, especially when it’s between interconference teams (and ones that have never met before last night at that). Last night’s 4-2 win over the Kraken was anything but … Continue reading →

Subban injures Reaves, Kreider responds like a leader in heated preseason win over Devils

Posted on October 7, 2021 by Derek

When Ryan Reaves got tangled up with P.K. Subban during the first period, the meaningless exhibition between Hudson rivals became something more. With the Rangers ahead on an early Mika Zibanejad goal, Subban collided with Reaves during a scrum in … Continue reading →

A Devilish question for fans

Posted on October 5, 2021 by Derek

The Devils defeated the Capitals 4-1 in a preseason game Monday night. Once again, former 2020 first round picks Alex Holtz and Dawson Mercer had good showings. Holtz scored another goal while Mercer had a primary assist. https://twitter.com/NJDevils/status/1445172795814694914?t=-U8o9nacMCT37hyqJPIuMA&s=19 The Holtz … Continue reading →

Devils’ trade for Graves begins offseason with a bang

Posted on July 17, 2021 by hasan4978

It’s been more than two months since the Devils season ended and approximately four since their last meaningful game of 2021, waiting for the playoffs to end has felt like just another interminable delay in a year and a half … Continue reading →

Devils 2021 season recap and look ahead : The Young Guns take over

Posted on May 8, 2021 by hasan4978

Much like everything else in this last year plus, the 2021 Devils season had wildly emotional ups and downs, with lots of unexpected obstacles to overcome. I’m going to make a comparison to where we are as a country on … Continue reading →

Rookie standout helps Devils take two from Flyers

Posted on May 1, 2021 by hasan4978

Finally, the long local nightmare is over. The Devils’ losing streak mercifully – and barely – stopped at ten straight games after a wild home win over the Flyers on Tuesday where they blew 3-0 and 4-3 leads. Fortunately, the … Continue reading →
