Posted on April 3, 2019 by Derek

In about half an hour, the Rangers will introduce Steven McDonald’s family to the crowd at MSG. They’ll get a standing ovation as always on an emotional night. It’ll be loud and what all 41 home games should be, but … Continue reading →

It’s rare that two fan bases that hate each other due a heated rivalry can agree on something. However, a rare occurrence took place during last night’s final regular season meeting between the Rangers and Devils. Fans from both sides … Continue reading →

Game #78: A Georgie Special as Buchnevich and Strome stay hot in win at Flyers

Posted on March 31, 2019 by Derek

Some might say, ‘What’s the point in winning these games?’ I think Marc Staal said it best the other day. You don’t teach losing at any level. It’s about competing every game no matter what. Or in hockey terms, every … Continue reading →

Game #76: Big Bad Bruins humiliate Andersson and Rangers

Posted on March 27, 2019 by Derek

I don’t often start off recaps like this. But I’m pretty ticked off at how that game ended. By that, I mean the way the big bad Bruins had to avenge Patrice Bergeron for a questionable hit by Lias Andersson … Continue reading →

Rangers can gain ground in Lottery race with loss at Toronto

Posted on March 23, 2019 by Derek

I don’t advocate tanking. I’m glad the Rangers aren’t under coach David Quinn. They continue to play hard, but haven’t been winning games. Since the trade deadline, they have one victory. I’ve lost track of what the exact total is. … Continue reading →

Once again, it was Groundhog Day for the Rangers. They saw their collective shadow against Jimmy Howard, Andreas Athanasiou and the Red Wings to lose 3-2 in the final meeting of the season. In fact, all three losses to Detroit … Continue reading →
