Special Hockey Podcast: Derek on Rangers loss to Canes, big upsets and Matt Dumba’s important message

I decided to do a special hockey podcast before on my Hard Hits Network channel on Blogtalk Radio.

Among the big topics covered includes:

-My assessment of the Rangers 3-2 loss to Hurricanes in Game One. What they didn’t do and what Carolina did to put the pressure on the Blueshirts tomorrow. Who must step up to even the five game series. Plus thoughts on Lundqvist and Shesterkin.

-Two big upsets. Dominik Kubalik stars for the Blackhawks in their 6-4 win over the McDavid/Draisaitl Oilers. Should Edmonton be concerned? They better win tomorrow. The Habs stun the Pens 3-2 in sudden death on Jeff Petry’s clutch overtime winner. Carey Price steals Game One. Plus the Jets lose Mark Schiefle in costly 4-1 loss to Flames. Isles win over Panthers 2-1.

-Matt Dumba had a strong message prior to puck drop of Chicago and Edmonton. Why I love what he said and how active he is in the hockey community through the Hockey Diversity Alliance. My own insight on Black Lives Matter, improving relationships between law enforcement and minorities, and understanding different views without unfair generalizations. How can we be better as a society? Plus the NHL needs to do more to make hockey more affordable for lower income families.

All that and more on the link above. Here’s one more link to listen to my hockey thoughts and other key issues:
