Video Of Day: Jake McCabe highlights USA win over Slovakia

In a must win scenario, Team USA defeated Slovakia 9-3. The nine-goal explosion advanced the Americans to a quarterfinal match-up against the Czech Republic. Full highlights of the game aren’t up yet. However, we did find a pretty goal scored by team captain Jake McCabe. The Sabres ’12 second round selection tallied his first of the tournament. He took a nice pass from Jim Vesey and went to the backhand steering his team in front for good.

Johnny Gaudreau and Vince Trocheck each scored twice in the six-goal victory. Cole Bardreau, Mike Reilly, Jacob Trouba and Alex Galchenyuk also registered goals. Trouba now leads Team USA with four markers. Galchenyuk paces our country in scoring with seven points (2-5-7).

Ranger prospect J.T. Miller had two assists.
