Another low point in a decade of them

Posted on February 1, 2022 by hasan4978

A few hours before actual Groundhog Day, I feel like the Bill Murray character in the movie watching this Devils team, or barely listening to the latest disgrace for this franchise, falling behind 5-0 to the Leafs at home in … Continue reading →

Posted on January 7, 2022 by hasan4978

Despite the fact I was going to my first home game in a few weeks last night, I was not really looking forward to it, partly for reasons discussed in my last blog so I won’t rehash it too much … Continue reading →

Devils’ winning streak ends amid more bad news

Posted on January 5, 2022 by hasan4978

Posted on November 15, 2021 by Derek

This one had a little bit of everything. There were goals, end to end rushes, saves, hits and some animosity which you come to expect between two close rivals. In the end, the Rangers took the first of four meetings … Continue reading →

Posted on October 26, 2021 by hasan4978

The last thing I wanted to do after getting back from this game – mercifully early because of the utter trash effort this team put on the ice for the first two periods – is write about this game tonight. … Continue reading →

Devils grind their way to 2-0 despite Hughes’ injury

Posted on October 20, 2021 by hasan4978

Normally a second home game of the season can be a sleepy affair, especially when it’s between interconference teams (and ones that have never met before last night at that). Last night’s 4-2 win over the Kraken was anything but … Continue reading →

Devils 2021-22 season preview

Posted on October 12, 2021 by hasan4978

Tonight marks the beginning of another NHL season, sure doesn’t feel that way as a Devils fan though – given that we have to wait another three whole days for our opener. At least three days gives us a little … Continue reading →

Posted on July 17, 2021 by hasan4978

It’s been more than two months since the Devils season ended and approximately four since their last meaningful game of 2021, waiting for the playoffs to end has felt like just another interminable delay in a year and a half … Continue reading →

Posted on May 8, 2021 by hasan4978

Much like everything else in this last year plus, the 2021 Devils season had wildly emotional ups and downs, with lots of unexpected obstacles to overcome. I’m going to make a comparison to where we are as a country on … Continue reading →
