Posted on December 3, 2021 by hasan4978

It’s basically become a yearly ritual for me to post this classic scene from Wargames whenever crap completely hits the fan for the Devils, symbolically going to DEFCON 1 is my version of pressing the panic button. And make no … Continue reading →

Down on the farm: Utica’s 10-0 start showcasing some of the Devils’ future

Posted on November 17, 2021 by hasan4978

Most of the time, it’s hard for me to really get invested in the Devils’ minor league team considering games are not easily accessible on or offline without paying an additional streaming package. And seeing as I don’t even watch … Continue reading →

Posted on November 13, 2021 by hasan4978

For all the things that may be changing so far with the Devils, apparently one thing destined never to change is the Devils’ dreadful record in weekend home matinees. It seems as if it’s the same script over and over … Continue reading →

Much like everything else in this last year plus, the 2021 Devils season had wildly emotional ups and downs, with lots of unexpected obstacles to overcome. I’m going to make a comparison to where we are as a country on … Continue reading →

Posted on May 1, 2021 by hasan4978

Finally, the long local nightmare is over. The Devils’ losing streak mercifully – and barely – stopped at ten straight games after a wild home win over the Flyers on Tuesday where they blew 3-0 and 4-3 leads. Fortunately, the … Continue reading →

Wedgewood, Devils shut down Islanders

Posted on January 24, 2021 by hasan4978

Going into tonight it’s been a glass half-full and half-empty start for the Devils. Good, obviously to be 2-1-1 and have 19-year old Jack Hughes producing at a franchise center level. Of course, the bad being Mackenzie Blackwood’s absence for … Continue reading →

In what has been a surreal seven months since the Devils’ last game, even having the true 2020 offseason begin this week has a different feel to it. If you’re not paying attention you might not have noticed the NHL … Continue reading →

Looking forward in a lost season

Posted on February 29, 2020 by hasan4978

With just over a month left in the regular season, the Devils not only have the most unappetizing (re: meaningless) games down the stretch of the season, but also a brutal March schedule that all but guarantees some ugly … Continue reading →

Devils’ blowout of Washington a temporary reprieve for their ills

Posted on January 12, 2020 by hasan4978

Last week in this space I said the Devils were about one or two wins away from turning me back into a believer after their stirring win at Nassau last Thursday, finishing off a 6-2-1 run through the new year.  … Continue reading →
