Statement win for Devils and Vanecek against Colorado

Posted on October 28, 2022 by hasan4978

If you’d told me a couple weeks ago as the Devils were sitting at 0-2 that they would win five out of their next six and improve to 5-3 I would have laughed at the absurdity. Even now I’m still … Continue reading →

Posted on October 24, 2022 by hasan4978

If you had told me after the first twenty-nine minutes of tonight’s game that I’d be storming out of the arena at the end of the second period booing the team off the ice yet again, I wouldn’t have believed … Continue reading →

Two impressive wins quiet the critics in Newark for the moment

Posted on October 20, 2022 by hasan4978

First let’s start with the disclaimers…yes the schedule hasn’t exactly been the toughest so far with every game in the tri-state area against teams who didn’t make the playoffs last year. Obviously nobody’s going to throw a parade now that … Continue reading →

Posted on October 16, 2022 by hasan4978

I have so much to say after last night’s latest fiasco but really no idea where to start this blog. Was last night’s 5-2 defeat at the hands of Detroit the worst game this franchise has played in the last … Continue reading →

Are the Devils in crisis mode after one game?

Posted on October 14, 2022 by hasan4978

I decided against recapping last night’s dud of a season opener, in part because I didn’t feel like a rant after the first game of the season when there’s still an element of anticipation for the home opener tomorrow, and … Continue reading →

As the calendar turns to October, a mid-preseason Devils preview

Posted on October 1, 2022 by hasan4978

I’m not gonna lie, my brain is still not on the NHL right now. How could it be, with football season underway and baseball heading towards a dramatic regular season crescendo even before the four rounds of the playoffs? That … Continue reading →

Bratt one-year deal looks to be an uneasy stopgap

Posted on August 3, 2022 by hasan4978

In many ways, the conclusion of contract negotiation number two between GM Tom Fitzgerald and budding star winger Jesper Bratt with the signing of a one-year contract isn’t exactly an ideal solution for the team or the fans. Of course, … Continue reading →

It was three years ago that the Rangers moved up to the top two in the 2019 NHL Draft Lottery. At that point, before the number one pick was revealed to the Devils, fans were ecstatic at the prospect of … Continue reading →

Posted on July 10, 2022 by hasan4978

With free agency beginning in just a few days there was still a question mark as to how the Devils were going to deal with their goaltending situation, especially given the ominous non-update of Jonathan Bernier after hip surgery ended … Continue reading →
