I received this email from TicketIQ on the cost of the second round for Rangers games. Not surprisingly, they are one of the most expensive tickets on the secondary market. Read it and weep.
Hey guys, hope all is well! With the Rangers & Senators dropping the puck on the Eastern Conference Semi Finals tonight in Ottawa I wanted to share some information on the secondary ticket market for the games at MSG from TicketIQ.com. Please feel free to use this however you’d like!
- With over 5,000 tickets on the secondary market, the Rangers are amongst the most expensive Conference Semifinal tickets in the NHL. However, ticket prices are trending slightly below 2015, when the Rangers defeated the Capitals in the Conference Semifinals 4-3: https://www.tiqiq.com/ nhl/new-york-rangers-tickets
- The cheapest ticket available on the secondary market for this series vs Ottawa is $238. That’s $14 less than the cheapest ticket available for the aforementioned series vs the Capitals in 2015. However, the number is a great increase from 2014’s and 2013’s numbers. The cheapest tickets for those Conference Semi-Finals series were $161 and $185 respectively.
- The Rangers $238 price point vs Ottawa is up from tickets listed for $209 just over one week ago. Should the Rangers advance to the Conference Finals, the cheapest ticket is currently $307.
- Overall, the ticket market for the Conference Semifinals is very affordable. 5 of the 8 remaining teams have tickets available below $100. The Oilers are the most expensive, with tickets costing a minimum of $240. This is represented visually in the attached infographic.
I’d be happy to provide any more info on the Rangers or NHL ticket market in general. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks!
