Alternate captain Cole Bardreau scored his first of the tournament on a breakaway. He took a nice pass from 2013 Draft eligible Ryan Hartman and finished short side to give USA an early 1-0 lead. On the other end, John Gibson thwarted two Slovakian early bids. He’s been splendid all tournament and gives our country a chance. If they can get past the Czechs, a rematch looms against Canada.
