Interesting Brodeur Article

This was written by my broadcast partner Joe McDonald courtesy of The Fourth Period after Martin Brodeur backstopped the Devils to a 3-2 shootout triumph over the Rangers last night at Continental Airlines Arena. It’s worth the read. So please check it out:

Islanders get a big win with Rick DiPietro’s fifth shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over the Flyers at The Coliseum. Viktor Kozlov (19) and Miroslav Satan (18) tallied while team captain Alexei Yashin sat out his second straight. The Isles (59 pts) pulled within two of eighth place Carolina and one behind ninth Toronto.

Sabres take their second straight with a big 3-2 victory over Ottawa at HSBC Arena. Super soph Thomas Vanek tallied twice including the game-winner with less than five minutes remaining. Martin Biron won for the third time in four, propelling first place Buffalo to a six point conference lead over the Devils.
